About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role pays $37.42 per hour. Officers carry out safety and security procedures, follow site-specific policies, respond to emergencies and incidents, and patrol client locations. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 3 years of armed experience.
- Possess a Maryland handgun permit and Maryland guard card.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- Participate in industry-specific security and safety training programs.
- Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Complete a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen as conditions of employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills in incidents and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
