About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed security officer for bank patrol in Columbus, Ohio. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that schedule. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, potentially building up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed shift is Saturday from 8:45 AM to 1:45 PM, at $24.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs security procedures at a financial institution, including patrols, access monitoring, incident response, reporting, and following site-specific policies. Applicants are subject to applicable background investigations and drug screening, and must participate in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access-control procedures, and direct individuals in accordance with site policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
