About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Armed Patrol in Malta, New York. The role provides a dependable assigned-site schedule, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be at multiple sites, and hours can vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $33.11 per hour.

The scheduled shift is Thursday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds to incidents and emergencies, and conducts regular and random patrols. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
