About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, Texas. The officer works an assigned site and designated weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Additional shifts may be claimed through the company’s scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $22.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday, 2:00 PM–11:30 PM.

The role provides security services at a retail location, including armed patrols of store areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter. The officer supports site security procedures, monitors activity and access points, responds to incidents and alarms, and documents and communicates relevant observations. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law and must participate in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail store areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer, employee, vendor, and delivery activity for unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
