About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, Texas. The role provides customer service and security at an assigned retail site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Have a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver's license is required for driving positions.
• Have a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, employees, and visitors while following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned retail areas, including sales floors, entrances, parking and loading areas, and the perimeter.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations.
• Deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity through visible presence, observation, and timely reporting.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with company policies, site requirements, applicable laws, and training, and complete required incident documentation.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
