About The Position

The Security Officer will serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves monitoring and patrolling the location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, responding to situations, and providing professional customer service and communication. The position is full-time, armed, and scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., at a rate of $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
An armed guard card or license.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
CPR and/or First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, or maintenance concerns.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements and company procedures.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
