About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Career Opportunity in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. You will support a financial institution location by conducting routine armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service and communication. The role is full time and pays $29.40 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least four years of military or law enforcement experience, or a criminal justice degree.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of observations, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
