About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for Armed Patrol Operations at a financial institution in Orlando, Florida. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, the officer may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week.

The officer provides customer service and security support to employees, members, and visitors; responds to alarms, access-control concerns, suspicious activity, incidents, and critical situations; and conducts armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter. The officer also monitors access points, maintains logs and incident reports, and follows applicable laws, company procedures, and site-specific protocols for assigned equipment.

The listed pay rate is $18.87 per hour. The posted schedule is Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The position includes access to open shifts, paid training, and technology for viewing and claiming shifts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Armed Guard Card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, members, and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Respond calmly and professionally to alarms, access-control concerns, suspicious activity, incidents, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to site policies.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and follow applicable laws, company procedures, and site-specific protocols for handling and using assigned equipment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
