About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Services in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations requiring attention. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the property, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
