Security Officer Part Time Armed Site Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Officer for a healthcare location in Voorhees, New Jersey. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and facilities through armed patrols, monitoring, access control, and professional customer service. The role involves responding to incidents and emergencies with integrity, clear communication, and teamwork, while complying with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and company policies for carrying and using assigned equipment. The position pays $30.00 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a New Jersey RPO certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comply with a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, requesting additional support when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access-control procedures, and report unusual conditions according to site-specific protocols.
- Maintain proficiency and comply with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies for carrying and using assigned equipment.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
