About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer for a part-time patrol role at a chemical/petrochemical location in Midland, Texas. The position has a fixed weekly schedule of Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and requires a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shifts. The role also allows employees to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week or scale back as needed. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, buildings, access points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of authorized equipment and communicate promptly with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
