About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time licensed armed patrol Security Officer to support a commercial real estate location in New Orleans, Louisiana. The officer will help safeguard clients, tenants, visitors, and authorized personnel through routine armed patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and customer service. The position is scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and pays $16.00 per hour. The role requires an armed guard card or license and participation in industry-specific security training. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and authorized personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations promptly to appropriate contacts and emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site-specific procedures.
Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions in clear, accurate reports in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
