About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Access Control in New Braunfels, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service and communication. The role includes responding to incidents and preparing reports while applying armed guard credentials. This is a full-time position scheduled Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card or License is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to bank clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to site procedures, helping protect personnel, customers, assets, and confidential financial information.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the banking location, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter; identify unusual activity and report security concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established procedures and coordinating with emergency responders when needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns according to company and site requirements.
