About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Riverview, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients at a healthcare purchasing and distribution location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally and with integrity to security-related situations. You will support a welcoming environment through customer service and clear communication while working as part of an Allied Universal team. The position is full-time and pays $20.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and help maintain controlled access to restricted areas and valuable inventory.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports and shift documentation for incidents and observations.
