About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in San Antonio, Texas. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access, and respond to security-related concerns. The role also requires delivering customer service and clear communication to help maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

This is a full-time position with a listed pay rate of $19.00 per hour. The posted schedule includes Monday 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.; and Saturday and Sunday 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Employees participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws and may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution, including business areas and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports and maintain accurate records of incidents and daily observations.
