About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution in San Antonio, Texas, you will help safeguard the client while providing professional, service-focused front desk support. You will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor entry activity, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. The role involves following site-specific security procedures and policies, communicating with visitors, employees, vendors, and leadership, and responding to incidents and emergencies according to established protocols.

This is a full-time position paying $19.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for an armed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.
• An armed guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at the front desk while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Monitor access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access-control equipment, and report unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, follow established response protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
