About The Position
As a Security Officer Lobby Security in Newington, New Hampshire, you will serve and safeguard clients at a utilities location. In this front desk role, you will provide a welcoming, professional presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, assist employees and guests, and help maintain an orderly environment. The position is part-time and scheduled Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements vary by state and/or local law and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide a professional first point of contact for visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors, delivering courteous customer service and following site-specific procedures.
- Monitor facility access by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Receive incoming calls, coordinate communications, and relay routine and emergency information to appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
- Observe front desk activity and adjacent entry areas, identify unusual or unauthorized activity, and report concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow emergency response procedures, and maintain accurate incident documentation.
