In addition to housing the University of Wyoming’s archives, the Center maintains collections on all aspects of the history of Wyoming and the West. The AHC also holds numerous collections in the areas of mining, journalism (print and TV), transportation (from the transcontinental railroad to airlines), popular culture (Hollywood, radio, TV and comics), environmental history, and many others that are national and even international in scope. The American Heritage Center’s collections are open to all members of the public. The Center is in the Centennial Complex on the University of Wyoming’s Laramie campus.
