About The Position
Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The program is designed for people seeking a long-term career in the skilled trades. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics while learning to install and service custom residential elevators. Most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with stated earning potential of $60,000–$90,000 or more after promotion. The role involves regional travel, primarily from Jacksonville, and work on the road. Starting pay is $18–$24 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 90%.
- Physical ability to lift more than 50 pounds and perform hard physical work.
- Comfort working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
- Knowledge of how to safely use hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or elevator industries.
- Military background; veterans are encouraged to apply.
- Customer-first attitude and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
