About The Position

Requirements

• Associate Engineer level: completing or completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by December 2026.
• Engineer level: completing or completed a master’s degree from an accredited institution by December 2026, or completing a bachelor’s degree by December 2026 and have two years of aeronautical engineering or similar engineering experience.
• Major in or have majored in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar STEM degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• A Secret clearance is required to start; final approved Secret clearance and Program Special Access may be required to start.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test aircraft parts, considering the natural laws affecting flight and efficient use of resources.
• Interpret wire-harness and electrical-component detail, subassembly, and installation drawings and specifications to support production electricians.
• Develop sequences of operations and procedures for aircraft modifications, electrical harness fabrication, and subcomponent fabrication and assembly.
• Develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for electrical harness fabrication and installation.
• Provide guidance to vehicle engineering on aircraft modifications, subassembly design concepts, specification requirements, and installation constraints related to electrical designs.
• Adapt machine, tooling, and equipment designs to improve efficiency and integrate with existing operations.
• Include inspection and test requirements in aircraft modification and subcomponent production plans.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, and tools; investigate problems and deficiencies; and initiate corrective action to ensure product quality.
• Participate in development and review of models, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Perform repairs and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop effective solutions to defects.
• Analyze, research, and develop structural engineering analysis packages involving metal or composite structural materials for product design or operation.
