Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance and interest in accounting or finance.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in learning financial systems, reporting tools, and automation technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
  • Basic knowledge of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet functions.
  • Basic understanding of business operations and financial reporting.
  • Interest in technology, automation, and process improvement.
  • Apply accounting concepts accurately in daily assignments.
  • Analyze financial information and identify discrepancies.
  • Learn new accounting software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounting and financial reporting activities for multiple manufacturing entities.
  • Support the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Participate in month-end closing activities and financial reporting processes.
  • Learn financial reporting procedures and accounting best practices from experienced accounting professionals.
  • Assist with data gathering, validation, and review of automated reports and dashboards.
  • Work with accounting and technology teams to support process-improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Learn and utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related reporting tools.
  • Utilize approved AI tools, including ChatGPT, for research, documentation, and workflow improvement projects.
  • Help identify reporting inconsistencies, discrepancies, and data-quality issues.
  • Assist with documentation of accounting procedures and reporting processes.
  • Support audit requests and special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional standards when working with financial information.
