About The Position
IMMI is seeking an Accounting Intern to join its Accounting and Finance team in Westfield, Indiana, for the summer of 2027. The intern will assist the team with accounting duties and support management by helping ensure decision-makers have useful business data. The role provides an opportunity to learn daily accounting routines and procedures and how IMMI operates. IMMI is an employee-owned manufacturing company that develops, designs, tests, and manufactures transportation safety products.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at an accredited school or university.
- At least 18 years of age.
- General understanding of accounting practices and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the period-end close process, including preparing journal entries and generating and reviewing financial statements.
- Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist with creating and updating standardized process documentation.
- Assist with detailed reviews of accounting for specific transactions.
- Collaborate across Accounting and Finance.
- Participate in professional development with the intern cohort.
