About The Position

The Accounting Intern participates in a comprehensive summer internship program in an aerospace and defense environment, gaining hands-on experience through real-world projects, mentoring, cross-functional workshops, and involvement in company projects. SNC’s corporate team provides strategic direction and business support to the company and its business areas. The intern works across accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and consolidations. The role involves preparing, analyzing, reviewing, verifying, and reconciling accounting records and financial reports; maintaining accurate financial records; and identifying and investigating data to recommend actions that resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in college or technical school, with at least six months remaining until graduation after the internship ends.
Currently enrolled in a university or college program pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Relevant experience.
Pursuing a career in the accounting profession.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
Strong organizational skills and work ethic; detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

Experience with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Accounting experience.

Responsibilities
