About The Position
AEP is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Intern for the Spring 2027 semester. The intern will support the accounting and finance team with accounting and finance tasks and participate in technology-driven transformation projects. The internship provides hands-on experience in multiple areas of accounting and finance.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and databases.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Participate in account reconciliations.
- Conduct data analysis and assist with budgeting activities.
- Support technology-driven transformation projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the accounting team.
