About The Position

AEP is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Intern to join its accounting and finance team for the Spring Semester 2027. The internship provides hands-on experience in accounting and finance tasks and participation in technology-driven transformation projects. The intern will assist with financial statements and reports, financial records, closing processes, account reconciliations, data analysis, and budgeting activities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and databases.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Participate in account reconciliations.
• Conduct data analysis and assist with budgeting activities.
• Support technology-driven transformation projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the accounting team.
