About The Position
Completed your articles and ready to build your career in commercial accounting? My client is seeking a BCom-qualified Accountant with completed SAIPA or SAICA articles from a small or medium-sized firm. This opportunity suits someone who wants to build a long-term career in commercial accounting and enjoys working independently while remaining actively involved in a team. Culture fit is central: you should be proactive, approachable and comfortable with open communication and constructive feedback. The role is remote, with occasional office-based weeks approximately once every four to five months. Build your accounting experience while enjoying flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.
Requirements
- BCom degree.
- Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles at a small or medium-sized firm.
- Ability to understand Afrikaans.
- Strong attention to detail, initiative and accountability.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Availability for occasional office-based weeks.
- A career focus on commercial accounting rather than pursuing the CA(SA) route.
Nice To Haves
- Multi-entity accounting experience would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting records and reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end processing and reporting.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
- Support year-end preparation and respond to audit queries.
