About the position
The HR Generalist role at Easyship is responsible for supporting HR processes, handling administrative tasks, and maintaining employee records to ensure a positive employee experience. This role involves coordinating and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires, acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, organizing social activities and team-building events, and providing general administrative support to the HR department. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, proven work experience in a similar role, strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires
- Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new employees with company policies, culture, and workplace expectations
- Arrange workspaces and office supplies for new employees
- Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing their HR-related inquiries and providing assistance
- Identify and recognize complex or sensitive employee relations issues that require higher-level intervention
- Collaborate with the HR team to evaluate employee concerns, complaints, or conflicts
- Provide a thorough and detailed summary of employee issues to the HR Manager for review
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to employment practices
- Assist in organizing and conducting HR-related training sessions
- Organize social activities and team-building events for new employees
- Assist with general office administration tasks and provide administrative support to the HR department
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and a team-oriented attitude
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven work experience as an HR Generalist or similar administrative role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Familiarity with HR software and systems for record-keeping and data management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset
