About the position
Mirakl is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to play a critical role in the company's growth. As the first point of contact in the sales cycle, the BDR will be responsible for researching target accounts, crafting targeted messaging, and conducting discovery and qualification calls with senior leaders at large enterprises. The BDR will work closely with experienced Enterprise Account Executives to develop prospecting plans and gain access to key accounts. This role offers the opportunity for career progression into sales or other departments within the company. Strong communication, presentation, and sales skills are required, along with a desire for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Research target accounts, identify key players, and craft targeted messaging
- Partner closely with experienced Enterprise Account Executives to determine persona targets, develop prospecting plans, and strategize creatively to gain access to key accounts
- Conduct discovery and qualification calls with senior leaders at large enterprises to create sales-ready opportunities for Account Executives
- Share learnings and best practices of the outbound process with the organization to support the success of the team
- Have goals across performance and skill development to achieve career progression from business development into sales or other departments
- Previous successful sales experience OR a strong desire to begin a sales career
- Excellent communication, discovery, and presentation skills (written and verbal) to connect with senior level decision makers
- Thoughtful, engaging, energetic, and self-aware
- Continually seek improvement and rigorous in pursuit of it
- Proficiency and experience using Salesforce.com, SalesLoft, and LinkedIn preferred but not required
Requirements
- Previous successful sales experience OR a strong desire to begin a sales career
