About The Position

Coastal Wildlife & Pest Control Services is hiring a full-time Wildlife Exclusion Technician to serve Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida. The company provides paid, step-by-step training alongside a senior technician, including paid licensing and training. The goal is for a new technician to run a full roofline seal-up independently within 90 days. The role offers a defined advancement path from Apprentice through technician levels and senior and management positions, with compensation and expectations specified for each level. Advancement is based on performance, skill, reliability, and leadership. The work involves inspecting homes for animal entry points, sealing those entry points with exclusion materials, setting and checking wildlife traps, and completing attic cleanup and enzyme treatments. Technicians document jobs with photographs and explain their findings and work to homeowners. Work takes place on ladders and roofs, in attics and crawl spaces, and outdoors in Florida weather. The company provides a vehicle and gas card, phone, uniforms, tools, and health insurance reimbursement after six months.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and roofs, and in attics and crawl spaces.
  • Able to lift more than 50 pounds.
  • Stable work history.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Hard-working, punctual, receptive to feedback, physically able to continue working in hot conditions, and committed to team success.

  • Roofing, construction, carpentry, handyman, pest control, or field service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect rooflines, soffits, vents, and crawl spaces to identify animal entry points.
  • Seal homes using hardware cloth, metal, and professional-grade exclusion materials.
  • Set and check wildlife traps.
  • Perform attic cleanup and enzyme treatments.
  • Photograph and document each job.
  • Explain findings and completed repairs to homeowners in plain language.
  • Complete training with a senior technician and work toward independently running full roofline seal-ups.
