About The Position

This position involves working alongside the welding team at QuikCut, welding on a wide variety of products. The role requires meeting high expectations and standards set by QuikCut, providing quality work, and completing welding projects efficiently.

Requirements

  • Ability to efficiently read blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to read and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
  • Ability to determine the appropriate welding equipment and method needed for the project at hand based on specifications listed by the client.
  • Ability to set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Ability to operate grinders to prepare each part that must be welded.
  • Ability to align components using calipers, rulers, height gauges, protractors, squares, clamps and other measurement tools necessary.
  • Proficiency in MIG or TIG welding.
  • Ability to weld in various positions: vertical, horizontal or overhead.
  • Ability to repair projects or other components by welding pieces together or filling gaps.
  • Ability to test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to establish and repair any flaws or defects left from the welding.
  • Knowledge of keeping all welding equipment in a condition that would not disregard QuikCut's safety policies.
  • Ability to lift anything from 10 pounds to 50 pounds. Anything over 50 pounds will be lifted assisted by a forklift, crane or magnets.
