About The Position

Doyle Manufacturing is a family-owned and operated company in Palmyra, Missouri, that produces fertilizer equipment. The RS Hopper Welder cuts and joins metals and other materials precisely to manufacture dry fertilizer equipment. The position is typically based in a manufacturing environment and involves standing for extended periods in a fast-paced setting, particularly when working to tight deadlines. The role may involve exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, vibration, welding sparks, grease, oil, and diesel fuel.

Requirements

Proven experience as a welder.
Experience using electrical or manual tools, such as saws, squares, and calipers.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Deftness and attention to detail.
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and willingness to use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layouts and procedures.
Choose welding equipment or methods based on job requirements.
Set up components for welding according to specifications, including cutting materials with powered saws to match measurements.
Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
Align and clamp components using tools such as calipers and rulers.
Weld components in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws and quality.
Maintain equipment in a safe condition.
Perform other duties as assigned.
