About The Position
HV Pediatrics is searching for a Part-Time Pediatric Telephone Triage Nurse to make a difference and help guide the parents of their pediatric patients. This is an on-site position located at Heritage Valley Pediatrics Chippewa. The role involves providing professional pediatric nursing care via telephone triage support, ensuring patient comfort and well-being, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining patient medical records, and performing necessary follow-up care, instructions, and education.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing
- Current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
Nice To Haves
- Previous telephone triage experience strongly preferred but not required
- Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing
- ACLS
Responsibilities
- Provides professional pediatric nursing care via telephone triage support for the pediatric practice.
- Renders professional nursing care to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by providers.
- Maintains patients' medical records on observations.
- May assist providers during treatment and examination of patient.
- Performs necessary follow-up care, instructions and education to the patient.
