About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to comprehend 2-D drawings.
• Proficient use of AutoCAD (2012 and higher).
• Knowledge of mechanical design and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Knowledge of ISO and DIN standards and the metric system.
• Strong knowledge of static and dynamic mechanics.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong math skills and understanding of mechanics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient use of NX.
• Experience in metal cutting or tooling design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical manufacturing-tool designs using AutoCAD and NX.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Evaluate product designs and manufacturing processes to determine tooling requirements.
• Ensure tooling designs comply with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain tooling documentation, revision controls, and engineering records.
• Find solutions to problems from the design phase through customer runoff.
• Perform tolerance stack-up, vibration, chip-load, and cutting-feed/speed calculations; interpret and analyze technical drawings; complete and develop process time studies; and define specific tools for each manufacturing process.
• Develop and maintain metal cutting process sheets.
