About The Position

This role involves monitoring and operating advanced robotic systems in a warehouse environment, specifically order-picking gantry robotic systems and KUKA palletizing/depalletizing cells. The technician will be responsible for responding to system alarms, faults, and operational interruptions, performing approved fault recovery procedures to ensure safe and efficient production. Key duties include monitoring equipment performance via HMI interfaces and system dashboards, verifying order accuracy, product flow, and pallet quality. The position also requires operating powered industrial equipment like reach trucks to replenish inventory for robotic systems, monitoring inventory levels, and completing transactions using RF scanners and an Automated Warehouse Control System (AWCS). The technician will support inventory movements, cycle counts, and assist Maintenance Technicians with preventive maintenance and repairs by placing robotic systems into designated operating modes. Documentation of downtime, faults, and operational observations is crucial for root cause analysis, and concerns are to be escalated to the Robotics Systems Analyst. The role also includes responding to product jams, mispicks, conveyor obstructions, and various containment events such as paint leaks or damaged packaging, performing spill containment and cleanup according to safety procedures. Maintaining excellent housekeeping, adhering to all company safety policies, PPE requirements, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, machine guarding, and robotic cell safety protocols are essential. Following approved Alternative Control Procedures (ACP) when working inside robotic cells, verifying equipment operating modes, and maintaining clear communication with team members are also critical. The technician must report safety concerns, near misses, equipment damage, and hazardous conditions immediately, conduct pre-trip inspections, and train other site resources as backup.
