About The Position
Northland is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician for The Links at High Resort, a 301-unit apartment community in Rio Rancho, NM. This role involves completing maintenance service requests and work orders, including HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping. The technician will also be responsible for timely apartment turnovers for scheduled move-ins, ensuring safety and efficiency. A high level of professionalism and customer service is expected when interacting with residents, vendors, and guests. This position requires handling after-hours emergency calls and being on-call as needed, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
- Must possess own hand tools.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts as part of the on-call responsibility.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to climb, bend, and squat.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, or to attend training classes.
- May be required to operate a golf cart on the property.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance service requests and work orders.
- Perform repairs related to HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping.
- Complete apartment turnovers for scheduled move-ins in a timely manner.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism and customer service.
- Handle after-hours emergency calls.
- Be on-call as needed, including nights and weekends.
