About The Position

Jeff Wyler Columbus Auto Mall is a family-owned dealership established in 1973, committed to excellent customer service. We are seeking a Lube Technician to join our growing team. This role involves all aspects of lube, maintenance, and repair. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a critical thinker, and a team player dedicated to our continued success. This is a full-time position, with some Saturdays required.

Requirements

  • At least two years of previous experience.
  • Hands-on mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various maintenance tasks.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including a background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Service technician experience involving oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and general vehicle upkeep is preferred.
  • Previous dealership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems including brakes, suspension, engines, and transmissions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Change oil, filters, bulbs, and wipers.
  • Change batteries.
  • Change and rotate tires.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas in good order and clean.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Communicate well with others.
