About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Two to five years of related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art quality tools and APQP methods, including FMEA, Control Plans, measurement equipment and MSA, and PPAP.
• Ability to read technical specifications and drawings.
• Ability to solve problems effectively and assess and implement continuous-improvement techniques for quality and manufacturing functions.
• Ability to facilitate and improve cross-functional communication.
• Ability to use standard business application software and specialized data-analysis tools to establish goals and objectives and complete projects.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• ISO/IATF auditor certification, including two to five years of related audit experience.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish language skills.
• Experience in plastic molding and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a supplier quality system that effectively produces, measures, and maintains a supply base.
• Ensure compliance with procedures outlined in the Supplier Quality Manual, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Lead supplier development activities and revise and implement changes as required.
• Participate in supplier reviews and provide supplier-quality input to the Purchasing Department.
• Perform supplier quality audits according to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.
• Ensure the reliability and accuracy of products provided by the supply base.
• Ensure nonconforming material is dispositioned in a timely manner.
• Coordinate supplier quality performance initiatives with suppliers.
• Track supplier performance trends, conduct quality trend analysis, and facilitate corrective actions as appropriate.
• Use lean manufacturing, error-proofing, and continuous improvement initiatives to help suppliers develop robust processes supporting Parker’s Zero Defect Initiative.
• Provide customer support related to supply-based issues.
• Communicate effectively across functions and present information to managers, suppliers, customers, and the public.
