About The Position
Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Staff Accountant at our Canyon State Academy location in Queen Creek, AZ. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. As a Staff Accountant, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting or related field Required
- Previous experience maintaining a general ledger required
- Previous experience with month-end financial close required
- 3-5 years of accounting experience and knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
- Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Great Plains preferred
Responsibilities
- Producing, overseeing, and analyzing all necessary financial information and taxes and other filings related to Rite of Passage, Inc, or Rite of Passage ATCS as assigned and Non-Profit schools, if assigned.
