About The Position

To assist in the provision of speech and/or language services to students as required by individual education plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.

Requirements

  • Hold or be eligible for a Maryland license as a speech-language pathology assistant from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implements speech-language treatment goals and related activities under the direction of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
  • Records documentation of services and student performance.
  • Selects and prepares materials to implement treatment goals.
  • Performs checks and maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
