About The Position

AdvisaCare is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to provide personalized, one-on-one speech and language therapy in clients’ homes. The role supports clients transitioning from hospital or facility care to home and aims to provide superior home care and customer service. The Speech Language Pathologist assesses speech and language disorders, creates tailored treatment plans, delivers individualized therapy, and works with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to support communication and swallowing needs.

Requirements

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current Michigan license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their treatment methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing customized treatment plans.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to speech therapy.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in a home healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ speech and language disorders.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address speech and language needs.
Provide individualized therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and nurses, to provide holistic client care.
Monitor and document therapy progress and outcomes.
Educate clients and families on strategies to enhance communication and maintain progress.
Stay current with advancements in speech and language pathology and implement evidence-based practices.
