About The Position

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization of model execution
• Experience operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets, or experience with training and deploying machine learning systems to solve large-scale optimizations

Responsibilities

• Have deep subject matter expertise in big data pipeline architecture, data foundations for personalization & recommendation systems, and user experience for data & ML infrastructure offerings.
• Collaborate with scientists, product managers, and engineers to translate business and functional requirements into system deliverables.
• Build new platform services from the ground up.
• Drive the development of innovative approaches to personalization.
• Provide opportunities for scientists and engineers to invent and implement scalable ML solutions supporting new customer experiences.
• Be a technical leader helping to design and build the ML infrastructure.
• Tackle complex and ambiguous problems, designing and delivering scalable and resilient ML and Data platform solutions from the ground up.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code.
• Mentor other engineers.
• Influence our technical strategy.
• Drive engineering best practices across the team.
