About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and changing tasks frequently.
• Familiarity with emergency procedures, legal requirements and standard nursing procedures.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Certified in BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
• Ability to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior medical and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Previous patient care preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital forms and patient identification equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transporting patients within the department, to nursing units and to ancillary departments.
• Providing 1:1 direct observation of patients on suicide precautions in partnership with nursing.
