About The Position

The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers to provide in-home cat-sitting visits while clients are away in the Boise / Nampa Metro Area. This flexible, part-time independent contractor position lets sitters set their availability and service area, and the company matches them with clients. The work involves caring for cats, helping pet parents travel with peace of mind, and building trust with repeat clients. Service types include drop-in visits of 30, 45, or 60 minutes, one to three times daily; extended daytime visits of 2–8 hours; overnight stays of 10 hours; and 24-hour live-in care with overnight care. Sitters are paid per visit, with rates typically starting around $20 per 30-minute visit and higher pay for longer visits, overnight care, and house sitting.

Requirements

Experience with cat care, especially in a pet-sitting capacity.
Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Strong written communication skills.
Comfort working independently in clients’ homes.
A smartphone with reliable internet access and a camera.

Nice To Haves

Experience administering oral medication, injections, or fluids.
Availability on holidays and weekends.
Availability in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

Responsibilities

Feed cats and refresh their water.
Clean litter boxes.
Provide playtime, affection, or companionship according to each cat’s personality.
Send visit updates and photos through the company app.
Follow each client’s detailed care instructions.
Bring in mail or packages when requested.
Adjust lights or blinds and handle trash or recycling when requested.
Administer medication when within the sitter’s experience and comfort level.
