About The Position

The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers to provide in-home cat-sitting visits for clients in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area. This flexible, part-time independent contractor position lets sitters set their availability and service area, with clients matched to them. Sitters care for cats while their owners are away and help build trust with repeat clients. Service options include drop-in visits of 30, 45, or 60 minutes (one to three times daily); extended daytime visits of two to eight hours; overnight stays of 10 hours; and 24-hour live-in care with overnight care. Most visits take place while clients are traveling, so availability on weekends, holidays, and mornings, afternoons, and evenings is especially valuable.

Requirements

Experience caring for cats, especially in a pet-sitting capacity.
Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Strong written communication skills.
Comfort working independently in clients’ homes.
A smartphone with reliable internet access and a camera.

Nice To Haves

Medication experience, including oral medications, injections, or fluids.
Weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

Feed cats and refresh their water.
Clean litter boxes.
Provide playtime, affection, or companionship according to each cat’s personality.
Send visit updates and photos through the company app.
Follow each client’s detailed care instructions.
Bring in mail or packages when requested.
Adjust lights or blinds, and handle trash or recycling when requested.
Administer medication when it is within the sitter’s experience and comfort level.
