About The Position

The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers to provide in-home cat-sitting visits for clients in the Tucson, Arizona metro area. This is a flexible, part-time independent contractor role. Sitters choose their availability and service area, and the company matches them with clients. The work involves caring for cats while their owners are away and helping build trust with repeat clients.

Services include drop-in visits of 30, 45, or 60 minutes, extended daytime visits of 2–8 hours, overnight stays of 10 hours, and 24-hour live-in care. Most visits occur while clients are traveling, so weekend, holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening availability is especially valuable.

Requirements

• Experience caring for cats, especially in a pet-sitting capacity.
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Comfort working independently in clients’ homes.
• A smartphone with reliable internet access and a camera.
• Availability for holidays and weekends is sought; morning, afternoon, and evening availability is especially valuable.

Nice To Haves

• Experience administering oral medication, injections, or fluids.
• Availability for short-notice visits, which may qualify for bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Feed cats and refresh their water.
• Clean litter boxes.
• Provide playtime, affection, or companionship according to each cat’s personality.
• Send visit updates and photos through the company app.
• Follow each client’s detailed care instructions.
• Bring in mail or packages when requested.
• Adjust lights or blinds, and handle trash or recycling when requested.
• Administer medication when within the sitter’s experience and comfort level.
