About The Position

Requirements

• Current unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (in-person only)
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray within past year
• Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, preferred.
• WOCN preferred
• Current and valid Texas Driver's License
• Current and valid automobile insurance
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to wound, skin, and ostomy patients.
• Assesses the patient's skin condition and wound care needs upon admission and weekly; sets goals; recommends appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals.
• Keep other licensed clinical professionals informed on items related to wound care, ostomies, and incontinence.
• Monitor and track changes in the client/patient's conditions and needs, and keeps the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel informed.
