This position requires a competent clinician with knowledge and skill to meet the standards for competent professional nursing practice as specified in the Texas Nurse Practice Act. The ideal candidate will be experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled in the specialty area of Interventional Radiology. This role involves functioning competently as a member of the interdisciplinary team, with practice characterized by predominantly interdependent decision-making. The practice is problem-focused and patient-centered, with the ability to manage unexpected or emergency situations commonly seen in the assigned specialty population. This role serves as a resource for Nurse Clinician I or II and can manage commonly seen contingency situations that arise on the clinical unit. Patient care is provided through nursing practices based upon the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance, valuing specialty unit, nursing, and institutional strategic initiatives and health system goals.
