About The Position
Visiting Nurse Association of Florida (VNA), a nonprofit home health provider, is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse to provide home health visits in Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, Weston, and Coral Springs, Florida. The nurse performs skilled visits in patients’ homes, assesses and monitors patient needs, develops individualized care plans, educates patients and caregivers, and coordinates care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members. VNA describes the role as offering flexible scheduling, local patient assignments, supportive leadership, and opportunities to contribute to patients’ independence and recovery at home.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license.
- Minimum one year of nursing experience.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Nice To Haves
- Home health experience preferred.
- OASIS experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled nursing visits in patient homes.
- Complete OASIS assessments and documentation.
- Develop and manage individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease management and safety.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition.
