About The Position

As a Receptionist you will play a vital role in our Optometry office by serving as the primary point of contact for patients and visitors. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for comprehensive patient coordination, which includes welcoming patients, managing intake paperwork, and guiding them through their visit to ensure a seamless experience. Your day-to-day duties will heavily involve scheduling and managing appointments, optimizing the provider's calendar, and making reminder calls to minimize no-shows. On the financial side, you will handle insurance billing tasks such as verifying patient coverage, obtaining necessary pre-authorizations, collecting co-pays, and processing billing claims accurately. Communication management is another cornerstone of this position, requiring you to professionally handle multi-line phone systems, manage secure electronic messaging, and route inquiries to the appropriate clinical staff. Finally, you will provide essential administrative support by maintaining organized medical records, scanning documents, managing office supplies, and ensuring the front desk operations comply with all healthcare privacy regulations.
