About The Position

Martenson, Hasbrouck & Simon LLP is a boutique labor and employment defense law firm with a nationwide presence. MHS is based in the Brookhaven area of Atlanta. We have over 80 attorneys across our seven offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Orange County, Sacramento, and San Diego. Our Firm works with some of the largest employers in the United States and has extensive experience providing day to day employment related advice and defending clients faced with any labor and/or employment claim. MHS is seeking a Receptionist / Office Coordinator to join the administrative team in the Atlanta office, located in Brookhaven. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the Atlanta office and supports day-to-day office operations, including reception, incoming and outgoing mail and packages, office supplies, facilities, meetings and events, and general administrative needs. This position collaborates with attorneys and staff, as well as vendors, building management, and other outside contacts. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, personable individual who enjoys a varied role and working in a professional legal environment.

Requirements

  • High-quality level of customer service, professionalism, and interpersonal skills (oral and written) as the role requires various interactions with attorneys and firm clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.

  • Canva skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and transfer incoming calls.
  • Receive, distribute, and coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the office and common areas.
  • Order and maintain office, kitchen, and common area supplies and monitor inventory.
  • Serve as liaison with outside vendors for office cleaning, building requests and maintenance, and other day-to-day facility needs.
  • Coordinate lunches, catering, refreshments, and set up for meetings and office events.
  • Greet and assist clients, candidates, vendors, and other office visitors.
  • Organize employee engagement initiatives, including recognition, celebrations, and other Firm-sponsored activities.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
